That's what Shine was built on.
This is a one-woman studio in Austin where the experience feels elevated, the advice is straight, and the results speak for themselves. No upsells. No pressure. No rotating cast of different faces every time you come in. Just one highly experienced esthetician who knows your skin, remembers your history, and tells you the truth — every single time.
A LETTER FROM THE OWNER —
For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with problematic skin. After countless treatments, dermatology visits, and trying just about every medication and product with little improvement, I decided to take matters into my own hands and attend esthetician school.
That decision eventually turned into a career built on empathy and understanding just how frustrating, emotional, and overwhelming skin struggles can be.
After serving in the Air Force and spending the last 23 years in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to train, educate, and work alongside some of the country’s top resort spas and providers. Since moving to Austin nearly 20 years ago, I’ve built an incredible community of loyal clients rooted in trust. Clients aren’t just names on my schedule — they’ve become friends.
My approach is simple: no overcomplicated routines and no chasing every new trend in skincare — just detailed, effective treatments that actually work. I believe skincare should feel approachable, not intimidating. I keep my pricing reasonable and my hours unconventional because I understand real life, and wanted to create a space that works for real people.
Shine Studio was created to reflect exactly that — a fun space with good music, good energy, and a place where people can feel comfortable, educated, and heard.
Yes — there’s a studio dog, and he’s definitely part of the experience. My goal is for every client to leave feeling better than when they walked in — more confident, more knowledgeable, and feeling good in their skin.
